ENPRO HELPS PROTECT U.S. SERVICEMEN IN ECUADOR
During the month of November, 2000 a combined effort between Enpro Distributing and Crown Films was needed to install Blast Resistant film on the Hotel Oro Verde in Manta, Ecuador. The hotel was housing U.S. servicemen supporting the war on drugs in South America. RMS, LC contracted with Enpro for the purchase of film and glazing materials but required local labor to complete the project. Kent LeMonte of Enpro requested the support of Charlie Peotrowski, President of Crown Films International to locate and train an Ecuadorian crew to install Madico’s LCL 800 with a structural silicone attachment system. Mr. Peotrowski had a local distributor in Ecuador, Grand Prix Limited, with a crew willing to make the trip to Manta but was lacking the expertise to complete the installation. Working together, Enpro and Crown Films were able to send a bi-lingual trainer to Manta to teach and supervise the installation. The result was an exceptional installation of film and a silicone attachment system to make the windows of the Hotel Oro Verde more resistant to potential threats. The 14,000 square foot installation was completed in less than 3 weeks, on time and on budget. ”One of the great things about our distribution network is our willingness to work together to create win, win situations,” said Kent LeMonte. “Without this harmony the job would have been impossible.” Enpro has a great history of global project management. Wherever the project may be, Enpro can always manage and complete it with the highest professional standards. Posted: April 23, 2004 |
